Linda and I rented a car and headed back to Shala Mar to start our counterclockwise Loop journey....
Vacuflush Bellows Replacement
Yesterday I noticed a small amount of black water below the vacuflush tank. I had Linda flush the head while I tried to locate the source. The vacuflush was still pumping and creating enough vacuum to shut off but there was a trickle of black water coming out just below the motor guard. I needed to disassemble the unit to find the source of the leak; not a fun task. The culprit was a crack in one of the folds of the bellows. Luckily, the local West Marine had a replacement in stock, albeit at a price 2.5 times most online sources. The solid top seal took some force to release. Otherwise, it took more time to remove dried scale fro mating surfaces than the actual install.
